| Although not a single person commented lol, I decided to start a MySpace. Alot of my friends from high school are on there, plus it just seems alot more user friendly. I think I'd have alot better luck posting pics and sound links of the band on there.

| We got a new drummer and guitarist for the band....now it's me, colt, jake niccum, and seth adams (the drummer from Sifter)...and its pretty nice to have a drummer who can ACTUALLY make it to practice so we can ACTUALLY get stuff done lol. That is the one factor that has kept us at a stand-still for the past 6 months or so. We just couldnt find a drummer that was dedicated......but with seth, I can definitely see us ready to record soon and very soon ....as long as none of the new members decide to quit or die or just not come to practice  ......
I've been thinking about maybe starting a journal thingie in MySpace....but if I did that, I would probably just leave a link on here as my last entry and only mess around on MySpace (because I'm not one of those people who likes to have a few different journals...as busy as I am, I hardly keep up with just one lol)....
So I'll just take a poll.....
who thinks I should just stay on xanga? who thinks I should start a MySpace?
please comment on what I should do.....because once the band gets going, I'll start posting show dates and pics on whatever journal I have....so I just want whichever one would be better...... | | |
| Not much has been going on lately....it's mostly just been work and spending time with family and friends. The superbowl party was pretty fun though. We didn't watch a single second of the football game lol. There were like 16 people there and we just played halo the entire time.....'twas awesome .
Colt and I started working on an acoustic song about Pat Coffman (a dear friend of ours that died in a tragic car wreck a while back). Our goal is to make it the best and most heartfelt song that we have ever written....I mean, this one has so much more motive than the others.....me and Colt can both just pour our hearts out into this song. | I've been neglecting my xanga obligations......I apologize......
Elizabeth finally got her new car.....it's pretty nice. Now she doesn't have to bum rides from her parents and siblings all the time like she used to, which is definitely a plus. Her dad is still acting pretty rediculous. He thinks moping around the house with a sad look on his face, occasionally freaking out and yelling, and buying Beth's brother and sister nice things is somehow going to torture Beth into submission or something. He still thinks that Beth is doing the wrong thing and that it is God's will for her to do exactly what her dad says, even if it's rediculous. Maybe it's just me, but I don't exactly recall it being a sin to do things like getting a job, getting a car, and spending time with your significant other without all four parents in the same room at all times. I mean, she's not doing anything bad....she is just living a normal life.....it's just so crazy that her dad refuses to be happy until the day that Beth begs for his forgiveness and goes back to being his personal slave (which will never happen). Bleh, oh well. I've decided that nothing her father does actually matters anymore......it seems to be the easiest way to handle all his crap.
The band is going well I guess. I've been working on my scream and now I can do both the low scream and the high scream (to get an idea of what I'm talking about, just listen to Howard Jones from Killswitch Engage)....prettttty kool. Hopefully we'll record a little tomorrow....it keeps getting pushed back since some of the band members keep missing practice for some odd reason, but tomorrow is looking pretty good so far. Jordan might start playing rhythm guitar and I (or some new guy) may start playing bass....we'll just see how it goes I guess.
I've been working alot.....today was the first day off that I've had in a loooong time in which I actually didn't have anything to do...it was awesome....hopefully I have more days like this in the future lol.....

| Wow.....I completely forgot about xanga for the past few weeks until just like 10 minutes ago lol. I haven't updated in ages......let's review....
I'm engaged now.....to the most wonderful girl. Her parents are slowly becoming less and less crazy....which has been nice. They are slowly accepting that she is an adult now and that she is going to do normal things like being out past 10pm and going places without a parent lol. It's been a struggle, but it's been worth it.....
I'm selling my car. Although I love it, for some reason the insurance company screws me and my insurance is super high....so I'm gonna sell it and buy something older (yeah. ya know you're being screwed when you check the insurance for you, with a clean record of course, and its outrageous......but then you check the insurance for someone else on the exact same vehicle and its wayyyyyy less....). I'm not sure why my insurance is so high, but I know if i get an older car that I still like, it won't be so bad. I'm looking into either a mid '90s Honda Civic or Mitsu Eclipse. Oh, and I'll post an add about my car at the bottom of this entry, just in case anyone is interested .
The band is still up and going....and now we're actually getting somewhere. Zack is coming to practices now and getting down our songs....and now I would have to say we sound decent  . We officially have practices every thursday from 4:30 to 9. Soon enough, we're gonna record a demo at Jordan's house....which I'm super anxious for that. It's just been such a long and drawn out process.....since we've been fighting to find a proper drummer.....gosh, I'm so anxious to record our stuff. I'll post on here when we start playing shows again........hopefully we can play with Skuf a decent amount. Those guys are awesome. They told us a while back to just give them a call when we wanna play with them, so hopefully that offer is still in the air.
